thank you for the well wishes. my mom is supportive of me keeping my distance from him at present, but I've not brought up my plans yet if he *does* pass and I do worry about that. it's weird, extended family being in the same position as my dad hit so, so much harder for me. so I'm kind of just like. no. he doesn't deserve that level of attention from me and I have no obligation towards him.
