snowflake challenge 2024! parts 1-3.

the new year has come around (happy 2024!), and it's been a year since i started posting here. so, i have a better idea of what i am using this space for, although i'll admit it has been bleaker than i anticipated. longform gives that opportunity i suppose :')

snowflake challenge has restarted, so it's time to check in!

#1. Update your fandom information.

probably the funniest part of this is having to put that i am now in... my late twenties, since i turn 27 this year. lol. i guess i dont have to update my age on this dw for another 3 years now :')

i did a few bits of pruning across here, my site, and my mastodon.

#2. In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.

so, i actually already did this! :D

it was spurred on by a few things. i mentioned on aethy that i was thinking about my goals in a more spiritual sense. i have always had an affinity for demons as useful metaphors for aspects of my life, and so i reframed my goals in terms of how i could serve my 'patron demons' so they could grant me strength. this was also inspired by a how to adhd video about setting goals for how you want to feel and working backwards, instead of what you want to do (which may not serve those core purposes). the core of my system is baphomet, gender icon, so i wrote a few words in my obsidian app: "pledging myself to baphomet who will strengthen my mind and body. who will encourage me to let my core self be my guiding light (and give my core self sunlight), and not the False Selves borne of my scars. who will remind me I am deserving of self indulgence."

#3. Create a wish list of fandom things (podfic, graphics, playlists, canon recs translations, research help, vids, sky's the limit!) that you'd like to receive.

my only wish is for more hugo strange/reader fic but i'll settle for x reader content that is fucked up and mindfuck/brainwashy <3
