so this is a combo deal today!
In your own space, tell us about 3 creative/fannish resources, spaces, or communities you use or enjoy. (One or two is fine, especially if you're in a smaller fandom or like many people at the moment, fannishly adrift right now) Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
In your own space, create a quiz or a poll (or tell us your thoughts about answering quizzes/polls). Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
so first off, here is my quiz! i assign you one of my fictional crushes based on vibes.
i will probably tweak depending on whether people are getting the same result over and over again, which would mean the questions aren't even enough. most of them are very simple 'pick x' uquiz fare with a few slightly weird ones, so i don't anticipate this being an issue.
i took my own quiz and got charles offdensen :') he is certainly the one i need.
now, to answer challenge #5, i will talk about the resources i used to make the quiz!
- i used coolors to get the colour palettes!
- i am obsessed with obsidian right now! i used it to plan and draft my novel, i use it day to day when random bits and pieces come to mind, and for the quiz it made it really easy to just pluck out lyrics i already had in my lyric file! it's a little complicated to get started with, because it is so customisable with plugins and themes, but i'd definitely recommend nicole van der hoeven's youtube as a gateway. as part of becoming less reliant on cloud-only services (as even with their sync service, all your data is saved to your local storage too) and trying to find a less laggy alternative to notion, it's been fab. i'm hoping to eventually have a system where i can create pages for my website IN OBSIDIAN and then publish it right away using a markdown to html generator.
- this is unrelated i just think they're cool: i really like the 3d poses that
kamitokatachi makes. the angles, lighting and postures have a real drama to them, despite the subjects being blank 3d models - that takes a lot of talent! i often find myself using them as a jumping off point for my art!
